I was unhappy that I wasn’t able to get any video footage in the Red Light District so I decided to make another trip. I felt like a undercover reporter trying to get the scoop. I had my camera around my neck and inside my trench coat recording and when I got to a place where I could record I’d let it come out of my jacket.
I guess I wasn’t as slick as I thought I was because a little while after 2 guys walking near me(read: pimps) says, “You don’t want no trouble, don’t take any pictures”. I left the Red Light District and after reviewing the footage at the hotel, I regret to say the video footage was horrible.
The footage will be added to the Amsterdam segment of my trip videos that will be on YouTube soon.

Amber and I went on a hop on hop off canal cruise which was very scenic. Amber and I got off at the Van Gogh Museum exit.
The Van Gogh Museum was nice and they had a lot of great paintings but I left disappointed when I found out they did not actually have “Starry Night”. I did get to see Van Gogh’s “Wheatfield and Crows” which I did like.
No photos were allowed in the Van Gogh Museum but it was worth the €8.50.

This story helped me figure out how to find the really hot girls in the Red Light District.
When Banzan was walking through a market he overheard a conversation between a butcher and his customer.
“Give me the best piece of meat you have,” said the customer.
“Everything in my shop is the best,” replied the butcher. “You cannot find here any piece of meat that is not the best.”
At these words Banzan became enlightened.
When walking around Red light District you will see signs “NO PHOTOS”. Take them seriously unless you run really fast. If you are caught taking a photo of the girls(read: prostitutes) in the Red Light Distrct one of the following things may occur:
- Their pimp will smash and/or throw your camera into the neriest canal
- The prostitutes will throw a bucket of water/bleach on you
I was able to get a few photos.

The smell of weed was very noticeable as soon as I exited the airport in Amsterdam. Trying to find a way to our hotel is when we realized everyone speaks Dutch.
At first It wasn’t such a big deal but when we started to look for a place to eat and the majority of the menus being in dutch, we knew we had a problem. We decided to head to McDonalds but how do you tell the person you want your Big Mac plain with only cheese? I have a hard enough time ordering my cheeseburgers plain in the US so I decided to just get Chicken Nuggets and Fries.
